TJK President and Owner, Tom Anderson, PE, has been named to the UNLV College of Engineering Alumni Chapter Board, where he serves as President.
In this role, Tom helps lead efforts to strengthen connections within the UNLV engineering community. His involvement includes planning alumni events, supporting outreach efforts, and contributing to fundraising initiatives that benefit student programs and extracurricular activities within the College of Engineering.
Tom has long recognized the importance of mentorship and the role that community support plays in developing the next generation of engineers. Through his own experience, he understands how valuable those connections can be early in a career and continues to stay engaged in ways that support students and recent graduates.
“UNLV played an important role in my career, and being able to stay involved and give back is something I value,” said Tom Anderson. “Programs like this help create connections and opportunities that make a real difference for students and young engineers.”
As part of his work on the board, Tom recently helped facilitate an alumni coffee meetup, creating a space for graduates to reconnect, share experiences, and build professional relationships. Events like this are one of many ways the board works to keep alumni engaged and involved, with additional opportunities planned throughout the year.
Through his involvement, Tom continues to support the connection between UNLV Engineering and the broader engineering community, helping create opportunities for students and professionals alike.
