The UNLV School of Dental Medicine renovated existing space at its Shadow Lane Campus to create a specialized dental clinic designed to better accommodate patients with complex care and accessibility needs. The project was completed in phases, beginning with the temporary relocation of existing office functions before the space was transformed into the new clinic.

TJK provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology engineering services for the renovation. The new clinic includes eight operatories, with one designed to accommodate patients in wheelchairs and gurneys, along with anesthesia ready treatment rooms, radiology services, and dedicated patient reception and consultation areas. TJK’s design included HVAC and plumbing modifications, specialty utilities for dental equipment, lighting and power upgrades, and technology and security systems throughout the renovated space.

The phased approach allowed existing operations to continue while creating a specialized clinic with the building systems and infrastructure needed to support dental care for patients with a wide range of treatment and accessibility needs.
