The final phase of the Southeast Career & Technical Academy master plan expanded the CCSD campus with four new two story buildings dedicated to Culinary Arts, Administration, Health Sciences, and Information Technology. TJK provided electrical engineering services for the approximately 164,400 square feet of new building space, along with the central plant, courtyard, parking, and supporting site infrastructure.

Originally planned as a re-site of four previously designed prototype buildings, the project evolved significantly as the campus program developed. The buildings were expanded by approximately 54,700 square feet, and revisions to the prototype layouts ultimately required a comprehensive redesign of the lighting, power, and technology systems. TJK also provided lighting and CCTV design for additional student, visitor, and bus parking and electrical and low voltage infrastructure to support a future gymnasium.

The phased development completed a major portion of SECTA’s master plan while expanding the campus facilities supporting its specialized career and technical education programs.
