Josh Stevens Elementary School was designed to provide an inviting and comfortable environment that supports teaching and learning. TJK provided mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering services to adapt a previously designed elementary school for a new site. The success of the original design has led to variations of the same floor plan being constructed six times.

A key part of TJK’s work was evaluating three different mechanical system options for the school. Each was considered for performance and maintainability, allowing the owner and maintenance staff to select a system that met the operational needs of the facility while aligning with their long term maintenance capabilities.

The resulting design provides a practical and comfortable learning environment while establishing a proven building model that has continued to serve the school district at multiple locations.
