Pinto Campus Social Services

This project consisted of a 900 square foot renovation of 3 existing rooms on the 2nd floor of the Clark County Pinto Campus Social Services facility. Pinto Campus functions as Clark County's hub for overseeing staff training and readiness to deliver support and comprehensive social services to the community. The goal of the project was to create an IT data room and expand the training room with a folding, moveable wall in the center. TJK's vision was to refresh this space with coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology engineering to give it a new purpose and functionality.

A main focus of our scope was designing the new voice, data, audio/video, raceway, and cabling. Collaboration with the owner's IT department ensured alignment with the project vision. The evaluation of data room sizes laid the foundation for a complex web of systems. We designed the conduit and cabling systems to coordinate with architectural plans. A detailed layout of data racks and cabling was also included in our scope. Fire alarm design held a crucial role in creating safety in the transformed space. Our team communicated with the owner to determine the fire alarm system's requirements which included an evaluation of the existing fire alarm system. The design involved careful consideration of device layouts, conduit requirements, and cabling systems which were all coordinated with the architectural framework.
