Michael was born and raised in Las Vegas into a family of construction workers. His father was an electrician, and anytime he would be studying for a new certification or class, he would try to teach Michael something, which was his first introduction into electrical engineering. Michael studied construction management in high school where he learned the basics of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and computer aided drafting. After high school, he was among the first members of the Southern Nevada chapter of the ACE mentorship program and was hired as a Geotechnical Inspector where he spent a year completing quality inspections for concrete pours. After testing out many different fields within the construction and engineering industry, he completed his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2022.

 

In his free time, Michael loves spending time with family and friends, whether it’s watching a movie at home, exploring new places around Vegas, or even taking a trip to another state. Any chance he gets, Michael is at the beach or exploring a new town along the coast. He is also a movie buff, with some of his favorite films being Moonlight, Seven Samurai, and Comet. Michael takes a lot of inspiration from his aunt, who is the most selfless person he has ever met. No matter what is going on, she is there for him and has supported him and his family for many years.
