Josh Stevens Elementary School
The vision for this project was to provide an environment for elementary age students that is friendly, inviting, and conducive to building a foundation for educational success. TJK provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design to re-site the previously designed elementary school to a new site. A similar floor plan of this school has been built six times since our original design.
A design element of this project was an analysis of three different mechanical systems to help the owner provide the best mechanical system for the school's needs and maintenance capacities. TJK presented several viable system options and was able to assist in selecting the most maintainable system that would suit the needs of the facility and meet the maintenance staff’s expectations.
The final design of the elementary school provided a flexible, functional, and stimulating learning environment. With consideration for lighting levels and airflow. students and teachers can embark on their educational journeys in a space that is comfortable and enhances the everyday experience.
