Janis Beers was born in Mexico and lived in Las Vegas for most of her life. After graduating from New Mexico Highlands University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, she moved back home to Vegas in search of jobs during the pandemic until she found her current position. Deviating from what she pursued in college, Janis has become an asset to TJK with her organization skills and assisting the team with project management, utility coordination, and construction administration.

 

Janis recently moved to Colorado Springs with her husband, Matt, and is looking forward to exploring their new home state. She played soccer for 17 years of her life through college and has an Akita named Aster; she is her fur baby. Janis enjoys Marvel movies, watching soccer matches, camping/outdoor activities, and any meals that include a margarita or beer! Janis’ mother, Cintya, inspires her daily. She was a young single mom and joined the US Army to give her family a better life. Janis feels she has been set up for success in life all because of her mom. She wouldn’t be who she is today without her.
