Fire Station #85

The development of Fire Station #85 began with the re-site of the previously designed City of Henderson Fire Station #91. TJK provided the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design for the station to achieve LEED Silver certification. The 11,500 square foot fire station includes three apparatus bays, training facilities, equipment and supply storage, and living areas to house up to eleven firefighters. A component that stands out about this project is the unique layout of the diffusers in the kitchen.

Our design included modification of the current prototype to include four dorms, added small garage for ATV, and new site location. We provided book specifications, attended coordination meetings, and provided construction administration services. The design of the facility considers the importance for these multipurpose spaces to include up-to-date technology, training capabilities, comfortable living areas for the responders and their families, and state of the art equipment.
